Trisha Lee joins the Santa Cruz Gardens family after beginning her career in education in 2000 with the Milpitas Unified School District. In MUSD, she served as a middle and high school science teacher, student activities director at both levels, five years as a middle school assistant principal, and the last five years as an elementary school principal.
Ms. Lee holds firm to her core values and philosophy that public education, guided by common vision and strong, shared leadership, must provide ALL students with a safe environment and equitable opportunities to learn and grow. Rigorous standards-based curriculum and personalized, research-based instruction are key to student growth and advancement. Learning practices outside the classroom through a variety of enriching experiences allow students to make choices and practice what they have learned as they build character, develop integrity, and become contributors to our local and global community. She truly believes that providing a safe, nurturing learning environment helps all students see and strive toward their full potential.
In early 2018, she moved to the Santa Cruz County area from the Silicon Valley with her husband and 3 year old son and is excited to serve the community in which she lives in. She is a seasoned hula dancer and enjoys spending time with her family off-roading, camping and beach time!
